This new version of the application is packed full of features and tools to help streamline your day and give our drivers, mechanics, dispatchers, customers and back office support teams ready access to helpful information.

With any new release of software we anticipate a few hiccups along the way, but we thank you for embracing the FirstFleet Core Value of Embracing Change as a Reality of Progress. FirstFleet Mobile - Android

Today we released the newly updated FirstFleet Mobile application for Android users. For those of you who are Apple users you will not be left out. The Apple/iOS release is scheduled for next week. This new version of the application is packed full of features and tools to help streamline your day and give our drivers, mechanics, dispatchers, customers and back office support teams ready access to helpful information. With this release Android users will once again find access to the application in the Google Play Store for easy installation.

Truckers Against Trafficking

January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

Human Trafficking is a major problem, and it’s a problem that is much closer to home than many realize. FirstFleet is proud to support the mission of Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT), a nonprofit organization that trains members of the truck, bus and energy industries to recognize and report instances of human trafficking.

TAT produces anti-trafficking materials which are seen throughout the trucking industry. TAT has teamed up with law enforcement agencies and trucking companies to provide training on identifying sex trafficking. Together with TAT, drivers have helped identify countless victims of human trafficking.

Covenant Christian School Shooting

In the connected world of today, it's likely that you have read the news of a school shooting in Nashville, TN. Today, the Covenant School in Nashville, TN experienced a horror that is unimaginable. The senseless act of violence perpetrated on these children, their families, and the faculty hurts our hearts in the deepest ways. Our thoughts and prayers are with those dealing with unimaginable loss and trying to make sense of the senseless.

We are especially thankful for those men and women who responded to the calls for help, and those who will extend the much-needed care for these families over the coming weeks and months. Please join us in remembrance of these families in your thoughts and prayers.

Hello FirstFleet Family,

Today we ring in a new year and with that new year a new round of opportunities and possibilities for the coming year. Often with a new year we are reflective of the year we are leaving behind. As I think about the year 2022 there are many things which stand out as things I am grateful for. I am very proud of the collective efforts the FirstFleet Team has invested each and every day. FirstFleet is a collection of over 3,500 transportation professionals located in 120+ cities operating over 3K tractors and delivering somewhere around 20K freight movements a week. We haul groceries, boxes, paper products, bread and other essential items that American families depend upon for their very lives. I am thankful to be associated with this very hard working and dedicated group I have called my work family for 23 years.

To each of our drivers, dispatchers, mechanics and other organization leaders I say a heartfelt thank you. Thank you for taking the Core Values to heart, and seeking to live them out every day. We are not perfect, but we are a group of people who all want to do our very best each and every day. This is increasingly a rare thing to be associated with and one I do not take for granted. Wherever you find yourself today I hope that you too can take a moment to think back on the year and reflect on the good that has occurred and where we can go together in the year ahead.

Open Enrollment - Incorrect Notice

Earlier today an email was sent in error indicating that an Open Enrollment Task was awaiting you in Workday. Pease be advised that this email was sent prematurely as Open Enrollment does not begin until October 1st, 2021. In a few weeks there will be a valid invitation to begin open enrollment, but the item you received today can safely be deleted and ignored. Please accept my apologies for this mistake and inconvenience. When we get closer to October 1st you will receive a new invitation with additional instructions that will allow you to participate in this year’s Open Enrollment process.

Today is Thanksgiving! If I were to stop you and ask you what are you thankful for what would you say? As I have thought about this day I realize that there is much to be thankful for. We are blessed beyond words to live in a nation that honors our rights and freedoms. We daily experience a level of freedom that huge parts of our world have never known. I am thankful for these freedoms, and thankful for those who have made it secure for us.

I am thankful for my family and the time that I have with them. I am thankful that today I am healthy - something we cannot take for granted. I am thankful for my job - it provides for my family, and it is a place I love to call home. Each day I get to work with some of the hardest working and most passionate people I've ever met. Thank you for that opportunity and privilege.

I've said this before but it is certainly worth saying again. Many in our industry may find themselves on the road servicing customers today. The life of a Transportation Professional is always on the go, and I thank you for your service and dedication. Wherever you find yourself today it is my hope that you are able to pause and reflect on the blessings in your life. There is much to be thankful for.

2018 Holiday Card Contest

The holiday season is kicking off all around us. Last year we asked for your help building our holiday greeting card, and you rallied to the challenge with photos from around the country. We would love to do the same thing this year!

Mobile App Update

Good afternoon! - I am very excited to share with you some exciting advances regarding the FirstFleet Mobile App. Today we are releasing enhancements that we think are great features for our user community.

If it has been a while since you have updated the app I'd love for you to visit the App Store or Google Play store today to get the latest update.

What's New?

Payroll Notifications - Option to receive notification when payroll is posted (view help).
Load Board Historical View - View loads you have completed in the last 7 days.
Secure Inbox Notification - Get secure inbox messages notifications from Human Resources.

How do I get started?

The first step is to visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to install the app on your device. You will find the application by searching FirstFleet in the stores. If you already have the app installed you will see the option to Update the app where you would normally see the install option.

How do I login?

The app requires a login using a secure username and password. The username and password are the same username and password that you use at www.firstfleetinc.com. If you have not created these credentials or need an email reminder of the password you will be prompted when the app launches with these options.

Veterans Day 2018

Every year our country sets aside a day in honor of our Veterans. Countless Americans have served the Armed Forces of our nation and to each of them we owe a debt of gratitude. At FirstFleet we are proud to join our fellow Americans today with a heartfelt thanks.

The American flag is a symbol of freedom and hope. Men and Women have worn this flag all around the world as they have tirelessly given themselves to the hope of freedom. With freedom comes great responsibility and our Armed Services have answered the call with integrity and honor.

To Veterans reading this give our highest of thanks for the service and sacrifice you have given to our country and those around the world who cannot defend themselves. We are proud of you and your service.

Mobile Update - CAT Scales

Today we are excited to announce a the release of an update to FirstFleet Mobile. This update brings integration with the CAT Scales Weigh My Truck App.

The Weigh My Truck App is designed to help Professional Drivers speed the process of weighing and maintaining compliance. Thanks to an integration between our fuel card vendor and CAT Scales you can even pay for the scale service directly from the app and send electronic receipt directly to our home office.

Once you install the update to FirstFleet Mobile you will see CAT Scales located in the menu as an option. If you do not already have the CAT Scales Weigh My Truck App installed it will take you to a help page that explains how to get up and running with CAT Scales. There are a few painless steps required to establish your account with CAT Scales - you will need to provide an email address and your fuel card info for payment. Once your account is established and setup the process is wonderfully easy to use and will probably save you some pretty significant and precious time. As a reference we have provided this helpful tutorial to get you started.

New Fuel Cards

As you are likely already aware all FirstFleet drivers are getting new fuel cards. If you have not already been given you new card please see your Fleet Manager as soon as possible to help us complete the transition quickly.

With the new fuel cards we wanted to take a moment and remind you of tools in the FirstFleet Mobile that will help you identify which fueling facilities are in our network. By fueling in our network you help us take advantage of the best fuel pricing and maximize your time because your purchasing limits are less restrictive. If you have not already installed the FirstFleet Mobile app why not give it a try today.

In the screenshots below you will see the menu option for Fuel Stops. Once it opens you will see a "?" in the top right corner. Tapping icon that will take you to a tool designed to help answer questions about the FirstFleet fuel network and your purchasing options.

9/11 Remembrance

Chances are you have vivid memories of September 11th 2001. This is a day which will be remembered as a tragic day for our country in which thousands of lives were lost and scores of lives forever changed. Today we remember those lost in the tragedy.

Today we remember and pay tribute to those who have fought hard and given their all for the cause of freedom both here and abroad. Your service to our country is what allows us to remain the land of the free.

Today we say thank you to all those who serve as a first responder. You willingly put yourself in harms way to serve members of your community, and for that we are grateful beyond words. May we never take our freedom for granted and always remember those who help ensure it endures.

Driver Appreciation 2018

The week of September 9th - 15th is set aside to honor and recognize the 3.5 million Professional Drivers that keep America moving. At FirstFleet we are proud to be associated with these hard working men and women and want to recognize and applaud them for their efforts.

The work of a Professional Driver is often difficult and filled with new challenges every day. Thank you to our drivers who show up day in and day out to service the needs of our county by moving the goods America needs and depends upon. Without truck drivers our country simply does not function. We are grateful for your dedication, hard work and safe work habits.

Freedom

Today we celebrate the blessing of freedom. As Americans we enjoy a privilege that few in the history of the world have ever known. The founding fathers of our nation penned these words in 1776:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

The defense of these freedoms for the American people has come at a great cost. May we never forget those who have served to protect and preserve our freedoms and fight for the protection of the oppressed.

As professional drivers many in our workforce are celebrating today away from their home. It's our hope that wherever your find yourself today you are able to take a moment to pause and reflect on our great nation and its history.

Share Load Photos Live on Apple

FirstFleet Mobile 3.0

Today we are excited to announce the release of FirstFleet Mobile 3.0. This version of the app is designed to update the experience and user interface. Starting in July of 2015 we have regularly updated our mobile app based on driver feedback and advances in technology. This build of our app keeps that tradition moving and adds some nice new functionality.

This platform version 3.0 sets us up for additional exciting new enhancements in 2018. We hope that you find the new experience to be improved and welcomed, we continue to look for your feedback on application development.

Today the build will release in the Google Play Store and in the next few days should hit the Apple App Store. If you already have the app installed it should automatically update to the latest build when you next visit the respective store. A special thanks to our beta testers - your feedback helped us catch a few previously unseen bugs.

Enhancements include...

All new UI - User Interface. The new UI is intended to update the look and feel of the app to current design standards. You will notice an immediate difference with the look of this new build.
Fingerprint Authentication - When you launch the app you will be asked if you would like to use Fingerprint authentication (of course you can skip). This authentication method will work on phones which support fingerprint auth and have the feature enabled.
Enhanced Document Scanning - For those fleets with remote POD scanning enabled you will notice an all new design to that feature. The updated version is greatly enhanced to reduce the image size and increase the quality.

Today we are excited to announce a Beta version of the FirstFleet Mobile app designed to update the experience and user interface. Starting in July of 2015 we have regularly updated our mobile app based on driver feedback and advances in technology. This build of our app keeps that tradition moving and adds some nice new functionality.

This platform version 3.0 sets us up for additional exciting new enhancements in 2018. We hope that you find the new experience to be improved and welcomed, and today we need your help to test it out.

Starting now the BETA version of the app is ready for testing in the Android community. If you are unfamiliar with the term Beta you should read this as "we think it's ready to test" - its for sure not perfect. If you like to tinker and test new things - this is for you. If you like things to always work perfectly - it may not be ready for you yet. Once the beta testing is complete the production version of the app will automatically update all of the current installs.

Enhancements include...

How to install...
If you would like to help us test this app the process is simple.

Send a text message to 615-502-1548.
You will get an automated reply that delivers the link to the Beta version.
Follow the link and agree to become a tester.
Once you have agreed to test the app there will be a link at the bottom of the screen which says Download the FirstFleet Mobile app on Google Play. Tap that link to launch Google Play and update your installed version.

Remember - presently the beta version is for Android users only. iPhone users don't worry - we haven't forgotten about you - when we ship the production build you will get the latest version too.

What if something goes terribly wrong...
It is possible that there will be some problem with this build that you just cannot live with. If that's the case please make sure you let us know so we can fix it, and remember you can always uninstall the app and reinstall the production version from the Google Play store.

Thanksgiving 2017

We are as a nation a blessed group of people. We have freedoms every day that most in the world will only dream of. Today is Thanksgiving - a day of gratitude - a day set aside to give thanks for the blessings that we have in life.

Many in our industry may find themselves on the road servicing customers today. The life of a transportation professional is always on the go, and I thank you for your service and dedication. Wherever you find yourself today it is my hope that you are able to pause and reflect on the blessings in your life. There is much to be thankful for.

My guess is that if we were to list out the things we are personally grateful for there would be some overlap for sure - family, freedom, occupation, etc. - but because there is overlap that does not make these items any less important. The point is that these things are special in our lives, these things matter to each of us in unique ways.

My hope is that you are able to take a moment today and think of a few things that you would call blessings in your life... reflect upon what your life would be like without them. If its a person or people give them a call and let them know how you feel - let them know what you appreciate about them. If its something harder to attribute to one person - say our freedoms - find a way to appreciate and respect those who have fought to ensure it remains.

A heart of gratitude is a content heart and there are few things in life as significant as contentment.

Today I am thankful for ...

My family and friends make my life abundantly more enjoyable and satisfying. They are blessings for which there are not words to properly describe.
My freedoms... I live in a country where I am free, and for that I greatly rejoice.
My health... something not to be taken for granted or under appreciated.

Driver Appreciation - Fleet Manager

September 10-16, 2017 is a special week for the trucking industry – it’s the National Driver Appreciation Week. At FirstFleet we want to celebrate and honor those who have chosen a career as a Professional Driver.

FirstFleet drivers work hard each day to uphold the Core Values of our company, and we are grateful for each team member. This year we asked a few team members from around the country to share their thoughts of appreciation. Today we are sharing the comments of Brian Bash. Brian is our Fleet Manager in Phoenix, AZ.

Driver appreciation week is here, and from the time I have started with FirstFleet, Inc. I have not only acquired a new outlook, but gained great deal of appreciation towards the tough jobs you as drivers do daily.

I have worked in other career fields where trucks were received, my father and grandfather were truck drivers, with that I had basic knowledge of what a truck driver did day to day. Did I fully understand? No.

I’ve come to value and understand how many days a truck driver is gone, Monday - Friday, Holiday’s, and what is a weekend? How many first days of school, birthdays, super bowls, and special events were missed? Out on the road, driving the economy, putting food on shelves and the clothes that we wear into the stores we enjoy most every day.

Not only are you as the truck driver driving the economy (literally), but you’re the first face, representing our company that the customer sees every day – the first person to provide the professional and world class customer service or as I like to call it “WOW” customer service. That alone deserves more than a one-time thank you, more than a week of appreciation, but more like a thank you every day.

It’s more than driving the economy, dealing with “hot loads”, and top priority customers. Truck drivers deal with the industries toughest law enforcement, DOT, and the ever so changing DOT regulations. Being captain of the ship isn’t always easy, but as a driver you manage to keep your ship clean, get through inspections – fight through traffic while also promoting one of the toughest safety programs to follow.

I would like to say thank you to all truck drivers nationwide, but more specifically the drivers at FirstFleet. At FirstFleet, I am confident when I say we have the best drivers in this industry leading market. Your work on the road is the greatest representation of our core values here at FirstFleet,

I have often said, we are a Dedicated Contract Carrier with the most Dedicated Drivers in the industry. I literally know drivers that live, breathe and bleed FirstFleet. We can accomplish so much as a team with our drivers. From drivers rallying to help with new start-ups to what just happened last week with Hurricane Harvey in Houston – our drivers always rise to the challenge.

I have witnessed many FirstFleet drivers make personal sacrifices in order to deliver the service we are known for. I have seen drivers stay out an extra day or even a week. I have seen driver miss monumental family moments, a birthday, a special family gathering and many of the sports their children play. They have sacrificed moments in life to ensure that our customers receive the best service in the industry.

Our drivers are challenged to deliver freight on time while never compromising the safety of the roads. Our service and safety records attest to the fact that our drivers are up to the challenge. We have drivers that have 30+ plus years of service with us, we have 2nd generation and multiple family members working with us – this is something special that we don’t take for granted.

Our drivers have a challenging job, from making multi stop deliveries, counting the inventory that comes off the trailer, maintaining the tractor/trailer, driving in constantly changing environments and not to mention making 100 decisions every minute they are behind the wheel. Our drivers are constantly adapting as our company has grown to meet the needs of our customers, regulation changes and technology advances.

I wish every driver in the industry could experience working at FirstFleet. I personally thank each and every driver for making this the best trucking company in the United States. September 10-16, 2017 is a special week for the trucking industry – it’s the National Driver Appreciation Week. At FirstFleet we want to celebrate ad honor those who have chosen a career as a Professional Driver. FirstFleet drivers work hard each day to uphold the Core Values of our company, and we are grateful for each team member.

This year we asked a few team members from around the country to share their thoughts of appreciation. Today we are sharing the comments of Debra Houston. Debra is Director of Risk Managment for FirstFleet.

The life of the commercial driver is filled with many challenges including, as we saw recently, treacherous weather conditions, dealing with heavy traffic surrounded by impatient drivers, construction zones, and negotiating tight spots in areas that never contemplated 50-75 foot of tractor and trailer. Add to these challenges the constant struggle to juggle home time and family life, meet the Company’s and it’s Customer’s needs, and do so while operating within DOT hours of service, and it’s clear that it takes a dedicated individual to do this job.

FirstFleet’s drivers are the best in the industry, delivering to its customers in a professional and courteous manner. Their efforts are the reason FirstFleet is the successful growing company it is today. While this week is one week to recognize these dedicated professionals, we hope each and every one of them knows that their FirstFleet Family appreciates the sacrifices each of them make every day to keep our wheels turning.

By now you have seen the images of the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and the devastation it left in its path. There is untold loss of property and that doesn't even compare to the loss of life that many are grieving today. Our hearts and prayers go out to those impacted by this horrific event.

In spite of the harsh realities we continue to hear stories of hope and unity from the communities impacted. You have seen individuals rescuing people they don't know, stores opening their doors for shelter and even large scale fund raising events like this one by J.J. Watt which is currently at $28 million dollars and counting.

We as a company have been encouraged beyond belief to hear of the efforts and dedication many of our team members have invested to help in their own way. Stories have come in from around the organization that illustrate how much our team cares and strives to live our our values each day. One driver team put their thoughts on paper and gave us permission to it share with you in the video below.

No matter where you find yourself today it is our hope that you are safe. For those that have loss in these events we send our heartfelt condolences and prayers. For those team members participating in efforts to restore we offer our sincere thanks.

As part of our continuing efforts to communicate well with our driver community we are excited to announce the release of a new version of our mobile app. Stats on the FirstFleet Mobile App show us that a great number of our drivers are regularly using the app to help plan and confirm their trips, review their pay, find fuel stops and much more.

The mobile app is designed to allow our driver community to quickly locate information pertaining to their daily tasks and to stay connected through tools like load planning, fuel economy, payroll history, training and more. If you not presently using the mobile app I would encourage you to visit the app market for your phone and give it a test drive today.

Today we are announcing new features based on community feedback as strongly desired features and functions. It is our hope that these enhancements will further solidify the app as a critical tool for your every day interactions.

New Features

DVIR Review - We have added the ability to see 30 days of history for submitted inspection reports. This enhancement gives you even better visibility into the resolution of reports and those pending your acknowledgement.
Dispatch & Maintenance Team - When using the Asset Info tile you now have the ability to drill into even more information about any unit in the fleet including a map of the most recent location for that asset.

The FirstFleet Mobile App has quickly become the go to tool for our driver community to manage and interact with their employment experience. The mobile app is designed to allow our driver community to quickly locate information pertaining to their daily tasks and to stay connected through tools like load planning, fuel economy, payroll history and much more. New Features

Vacation / PTO Balance - We have added the ability to see present Vacation and PTO allocations as well as full detail for any previously used days.
Auto Login Issues - There were some users reporting bugs using the auto-login function. We believe those have now been rectified.
Enhanced Profile - You now have the ability to update your personal mailing address, contact phone numbers & enroll in text message notifications for dispatch using the Profile tile.
Driver Trainer Information - As a new driver it can be helpful to see the driver trainers allocated in your fleet. There are new features added under the Training tile which allow you to see the Driver Trainers and options to contact them directly from the app.

Driver Trainer Exclusive Features

Contacts Tile - Driver Trainers now have the option to use the Contacts tile to locate contact information for any driver in their facility. This can be a handy tool when following up with new hires or trying to locate a driver for training.
Optionally Share Contact Info - Driver Trainers have the ability under the Profile tile to adjust how their phone number is shared with drivers in their facility. By default - without you making a change Driver Trainer phone numbers will not be shared with drivers in your location. If you are a Driver Trainer and would like to share your mobile phone contact information with drivers in your location (shows up under the training tile) you can quickly change this setting using the Profile tile.

Contact & Communication Preferences

Keeping employee contact information updated and accurate is a challenge for any organization, and we are no exception to this reality. In effort to ensure the contact information we have on file for our team members is accurate we are enhancing our online and mobile tools to give you personal control over these changes.

Effective immediately the Account function online has been enhanced greatly to give you full control over updates to the contact information we manage for our employees. In addition we have merged your ability to control communication preferences for electronic communication and text based dispatch alerts using this same tool.

If you are not presently receiving text messages as notices for load dispatches I encourage you to access this tool to enroll in this handy feature today. A quick tutorial to step you through this process can be seen below. For future reference you can access this tutorial and more on the Employee Tools page found here.

Alexa, Meet FirstFleet

It is likely that you have seen a commercial or advertisement for the Amazon Alexa device which provides for a spoken word interface to all sort of services from home automation to information retrieval. It may even be possible that you have one of these devices in your home. Even if you are not presently using this technology it is rapidly expanding the possibilities of interaction and will become increasingly present in our lives. How we consume information and how we interact with services around us is adapting and changing all the time.

At FirstFleet we are committed to Embracing Change as a Reality of Progress, and to this end we are intentional in our choices to evaluate emerging technology for a fit in our organization. Alexa is a great way for us to evaluate voice interactions in our business. Voice interactions can possibly add safety, efficiency and easy of use.

Today we are announcing the FirstFleet Alexa Skill with functionality for our drivers designed to give quick and easy access to a handful of functions in the initial release. Initially the interaction will allow FirstFleet authenticated drivers (you need a firstfleetinc.com account) to ask FirstFleet for information about their hours of service, next planned load and more.

If you are presently a FirstFleet driver and own an Alexa device you may want to give this a try. We would love to hear your feedback with regard to what functions you would like to see added to this integration. Your feedback will be essential to the evolution of this offering.

Mobile App Release 2.1

Version 2.1 of the FirstFleet Mobile app is being released today. This build is a continuation of our last user interface change with simplified tiles. There are a few new features that have been requested by the community of users and we are excited to release them today. The Android platform is presently accessible and ready for download but the Apple iOS version is still pending approval. You should expect to see that hit the App Store in a few days.

New Features

Secure Employee Inbox - This version of the app bring new functionality that allows us to push secure messaging regarding your employment experience, benefits and other important messages directly to the app for your review.
Trip Details in Payroll - Previous versions of the app did not allow you to review specific orders and movements on a paycheck. This build extends that process by one additional level so that details of specific trips can be retrieved.
Maintenance Team Tools - Our maintenance team will see a new tile specifically geared toward their needs which allows review of an Asset (tractors only in this build). This tile will allow quick retrieval of asset details including outstanding DVIR & PM schedules and active ECM faults.
Load Tracking by Trailer Number - Partners have always had load tracking but in this build of the app you are able to track by trailer number or reference number.

Please note that at present time the release is only available for Android. The Apple build has been submitted for release but is still pending approval. For more details please visit this link for options to download the app today.

Today is a day set aside to reflect and give thanks for the blessings of life. We are as a nation very blessed, and there is much to be thankful for. As you reflect on life today my guess is that there are freedoms, places, faces and names which come to mind quickly. Today is a day to cherish these blessings in our life and even verbalize our thanks.

I am personally very thankful for my family and friends. Life is best spent with people who care for you and want to see you succeed. It is a tremendous blessing to have people in our lives who care.
I am thankful for the freedoms I enjoy every day as an American citizen. These freedoms had and continue to have a very high cost. I am grateful beyond words for this blessing.
I am thankful for the team members that I work with day in and day out. FirstFleet is made of wonderful people who are dedicated to doing the best job they can. May we never take this for granted.

I realize that in our industry most of you reading this may find yourselves in a less than traditional setting or time for your Thanksgiving dinner. The life of a transportation professional is always on the go, and I thank you for your service and dedication. Wherever you find yourself today it is my hope that you are able to pause and reflect on the blessings in your life. There is much to be thankful for.

Mobile App Release 2.0

We are very excited to share the new version of the FirstFleet Mobile app with you today. The new version includes a new simplified user interface and added functionality intended to make the app more user friendly and helpful. The app is available for both Android and iOS platforms either from the appropriate app store or by clicking this link. Please note that at present time the release is only available for Android. The Apple build has been submitted for release but is still pending approval.

User Interface
Lets start with the user interface. From the screenshot below you can see the new tiled interface is streamlined and simple to navigate. The intention of this change is to modernize the design of the app and reduce the touches necessary to access the information you need. You will notice a new section at the top of the home screen that displays fuel economy information front and center.

Take note above that each tile has relevant information displayed on the main home screen. The icons change color as well. You will notice that a RED truck indicates you have a planned load where a BLACK truck will represent if no loads are planned.

Hours of Service

You will notice the Hours of Service tool has also been refreshed and revised for a simpler to use layout. Notice the icons across the bottom to take action. Notice there is a Reset icon in the bottom right. This reset icon will allow you to issue a soft reset on your in cab device should the stability of the device be in question. Direct access to call/email the HOS team and view frequently asked questions are also quickly accessible.

Load Board
The Load Board has also been given an overhaul to freshen its look and increase the functionality. You will find quick links across the top which give you new functionality to call dispatch, view the turn by turn route and provide confirmation of receipt that you have viewed the plan.

Each stop provides the ability to view stored information about the stop, place a call to the stop, view the stop on a map and even obtain a turn by turn route to the stop from your current position using the GPS in your phone.

Truck Stops
It is quick and easy to access authorized fuel stops in our network and to view the amenities the stop offers as you plan your route.

Roadside Assistance
Should you find yourself in the need of roadside assistance the app provides tap to call functionality for accessing help 24x7 and it will even display currently reporting engine faults in effort to speed diagnosis.

Manage Profile Info
Would you like a text message when your load is dispatched? You can use the Manage Profile Info tile to update your email, mobile phone number, sign up for text dispatch and even update your home mailing address.

POD Scanner
Functionality has been added to the application to allow you to take a photo of your POD and automatically upload it to our billing and storage systems. This feature is enabled by fleet so please check with your local fleet manager.

Settings
The settings are accessed in the "gear" icon where you will find the ability to save your login information, hide pay from the main home screen and even a mechanism to submit a help ticket for support.

9.11 - We Will Never Forget

We will never forget the horrific events of 9/11/2001. Fifteen years ago today our country was the victim of a brutal attack on our soil that lead to the loss of 3,000 innocent people. The events of this day have impacted the lives of those directly connected to the act of terrorism and countless others around the world. In one way or another this day continues to have impact on us as we grieve losses and work to create a safer tomorrow.

Today we remember the loss of many and honor those who have responded with courage to the call of freedom. We are as Americans blessed with freedoms and opportunity that to many in the world are beyond comprehension. The freedoms we enjoy are not without great cost, and to those who have served our country with bravery we owe a great debt of gratitude.

As transportation professionals we realize that our team is largely on the move. It is our sincere hope that wherever you find yourself today you are able to take a moment to remember the loss of many and give thanks for the service of those who have worn the flag.

Across the land today flags are flying, grills are being fired up and people will gather to celebrate 240 years of our great nation. Our founding fathers believed in the hope of a nation where freedom abounds and they would willingly lay their lives down in that declaration.

We owe a great debt to countless men and women who have worn the flag of our country in effort to preserve and protect the freedoms we enjoy each day. Today we honor the sacrifices and service of each passing generation that we might remain the land of the free and the home of the brave. May we never take the blessings of freedom for granted or forget its cost.

Today we recognize that as transportation professionals many of our extended family are on the road - delivering the goods that keep our country moving forward. We are blessed to be a company of men and women who take great pride in their work and service to our customers. West Virginia Flooding

If you have recently seen the news you are well aware of the flooding and devastation in West Virginia. At FirstFleet, Inc. our hearts and prayers are with the families who have lost so much in the last week. It is hard to imagine the circumstances that are facing the residents of the storm battered areas, and we want to help.

FirstFleet, Inc. Delaware, OH has partnered with local organizations to collect and transport much needed cleaning supplies and care items through July 10^th. When the goods are collected we will provide the transportation and ensure delivery of the items to a local distribution facility in the battered town of Richwood, WV.

We realize that many of our extended FirstFleet family may wish to participate in this effort, but are unable to get the needed goods to the pickup spot in Delaware, OH. If you wish to help we encourage you to consider supporting the American Red Cross in their efforts to help recover from the devastation by following this link.

Memorial Day 2016

Today is a day set aside to remember those who have given the ultimate in service of our country and in the defense of freedom. Generations upon generations of men and women have sacrificed their lives in effort to protect and preserve the freedoms we enjoy as Americans. The saying is certainly true that freedom will never be free. The cost of freedom is very high, and it is with great gratitude that we pause as a nation today in remembrance of that cost.

At FirstFleet we are proud of the men and women who represent our great nation in armed service. We remember those who have fallen in battle with great honor and we celebrate those who are in service today with hearts of gratitude.

It is our hope that wherever you find yourself today you will be able to pause for a moment and reflect on the blessings of the freedom we enjoy and that you are able to find some way to honor those who made it possible.

New Mobile App Build 1.7

New Release

The latest release of the FirstFleet Mobile app has some great features designed to make the app better service the community of users which includes drivers, operations team members, customers and more.

HOS

The Hours of Service card has been enhanced with two new options to better service the needs of our driver community when help is needed. The added functions are:

Email Log Support
You now have the ability to email the log support team with a simple tap. You will find this option perhaps helpful when your request is not of an urgent nature and some delay in reply is acceptable.

Frequently Asked Questions
A new FAQ section designed to cover the most frequently asked questions with regard to HOS interactions. These topics include screenshots and tutorials designed to help our drivers service their needs quickly. A quick review of these tips may give you a better experience all the way around.

Omnitracs Mobile Reset
The ability to issue an Omnitracs unit reset in times of trouble. In certain situations the in cab unit becomes locked or performs in a manner that requires a soft reset be sent to the device. We have now built this functionality into the app in. If you are logged into the Omnitracs unit and know it needs to be reset you now have the ability to issue a soft reset command directly inside the FirstFleet Mobile app without contacting the help desk.

Company Directory

For the Operations Team members you will find a handy extension to the company directory which allows you to search for an employee by name or employee code. This directory provides you with quick contact options and an extended set of properties on the individual including current hours of service, pending training and much more.

Documents Library

We have added a function to the mobile app which allows visibility into certain documents which may be helpful in the course of your work. You will find presently listed there is a Insurance Cab Card and a copy of your CDL. Over time this library will expand into new document types as well.

Less Obvious Features

In addition to the above more flashy items there are small enhancements that are designed to help streamline the function and use of the app.

The card which deals with Employee Pay has been refined to provide better readability.
Some of the fit and finish has been polished a bit.

New Release

The latest release of the FirstFleet Mobile app has some great features designed to help our driver community quickly locate authorized fuel stops and to speed the process of reporting a breakdown event.

Fuel Stops

The fuel stop card itself is not new but we have extended the functionality. In this new version you can not only locate an authorized fuel stop but you have options to view the amenities at the stop (ex: Showers, DEF, Parking Spaces, Food services, etc). If you have updated to the most recent version of the app you will see this new section inside the fuel stops card.

Breakdown

Running late model well maintained equipment is a critical component to keeping the wheels safely rolling. From time to time however, incidents happen on the road that require the help of our talented breakdown crew. In the latest build of the app there is a card for reporting a breakdown with tap to call and details about the equipment you are presently operating in. If you scroll to the bottom of the card you can even see active engine faults in your tractor.

Less Obvious Features
Inside the "gear" icon you will see two new settings we want to bring to your attention. The first is the ability to remember your username. This option requires you to type only your password at login.

There is now an option to save your password as well. If you enable this setting you will not be prompted to enter a password to gain access to the application. This is likely a very familiar experience for you with other apps you have installed on your device.

Finally there is an option to not display your pay items on the main screen card. You will still have access to view pay but you will need to access the card directly to have the details of the pay show.

Accessing New Benefits

This week marks the first pay run for the new year, and that means the exciting new benefits announced in this blog post are now live and ready for use. These benefits include employer contributions for those enrolled in 401k, paid time off and other wonderful benefits that have been extended to FirstFleet, Inc. employees. If you haven't heard about these items please take a moment to familiarize yourself with them here.

In addition to the benefits going live with this check run we have also extended the online tools used to manage these benefits. Using your online account you have full access to pay details, benefits enrollment, vacation balances and a host of other great tools to help manage your employment experience.

If you do not have an online account I encourage you to take 5 mins and setup the account today to immediately gain access to tools to manage and interact with us. This video tutorial will take you through the process of setting up your account online. As an added benefit these same credentials are used for our mobile app which is now available on Apple and Android platforms.

401k Contribution
Reviewing FirstFleet contributions to your 401k plans is accessible as a line item on your pay summary sheets. Pay details are accessible under myPortal by clicking the Employees Tile and following the link for Employee Pay History. You will notice a new section has been added to the tool which reflects the Benefit contributions FirstFleet is making on your behalf.

Thanksgiving 2015

Today is Thanksgiving - a day set aside to pause and reflect on the blessings of life. I am sure each of us has a different set of blessings that come to mind when reflecting on our lives. For some it may be health, maybe it is children or grandchildren, our shared freedom, perhaps for some it is our work - something we can all be proud of. In the diversity of our team there are no doubt a wide range of blessings bestowed upon us.

When I reflect personally on the blessings of life I am overwhelmed with thankfulness. I am grateful for my family, the support of my loved ones, my work friends that serve the needs of our business with their whole heart, and the freedoms that we enjoy as citizens of this great nation. These freedoms came with great cost, and I am thankful for the inheritance left to us.

In recent days the world has seen great heartache. Many have paid a very high price in senseless acts of violence, and many right now are fighting for freedom around the globe. It can be easy to see those acts of service and sacrifice as happening in a far away place, but the truth is they are the hard reality of many.

Most of us today will enjoy a day of peace, and it is my hope that you will reflect on this with a heart of thanksgiving and remembrance of others who may be less fortunate today. It is my hope that as you look around the table with your family and friends you will take in the blessings that they are and cherish the time you have with them.

I also recognize that we work in an industry that doesn’t always allow for conventional holiday celebrations, and that your thanksgiving may be delayed due to your efforts to service our customers. As a company we are grateful for you service and hard work. Our drivers are the best in the industry, and we appreciate every effort you invest to that end. It is our heartfelt hope that there are moments today or in the coming days where you are able to pause and enjoy a rest.

New Mobile App Build

New Release

The latest release of the FirstFleet Mobile App brings a few exciting new features which are built to keep our driver community informed and connected. This release provides two new cards on the main screen and some less obvious but likely well received enhancements.

Fuel Stops

In this release there is a new card for our driver community geared toward connecting them with the closest fuel stops in our network. Using the card is simple, just tap and scroll the list of stops within close proximity of your current position. The next release will expand upon this tool by adding stop amenities such as fuel lane and shower count, types of food services offered and more.

Training
The life of a professional driver has changed a lot in recent years. There are new regulations, new engines, new transmissions and all sorts of things to stay abreast of from a training perspective. FirstFleet is proud to employ the best drivers in the industry and we recognize that training and experience go hand in hand. The training card will show you which items you have pending to complete. Tapping on the card will give you some additional detail and even a link to complete the training listed.
Safety
In this build of the application we are releasing screen blanking when in motion. This feature is designed around the idea of safety and limiting distractions while driving. It works by locking the function of the application while the application detects your vehicle is in motion.

Less Obvious Features
Inside the "gear" icon you will see two new settings we want to bring to your attention. The first is the ability to remember your username. This option requires you to type only your password at login.

There is now an option to save your password as well. If you enable this setting you will not be prompted to enter a password to gain access to the application. This is likely a very familiar experience for you with other apps you have installed on your device.

Finally there is an option to not display your pay items on the main screen card. You will still have access to view pay but you will need to access the card directly to have the details of the pay show.

For those of you who have not yet downloaded the FirstFleet Mobile App we hope this release will be an encouragement for you to visit the App or Play Store on your phone to fetch the application and give it a try. For those who have submitted favorable reviews or feedback with what you would like to see we encourage you to keep it coming. Use the gears icon to submit your feedback for features you would like to see become reality.

Response to our mobile app has been great, and we are grateful for your feedback and suggestions to make the app better. Today we have an exciting new release to announce that includes additional functionality for our driver community which allows our drivers to be more productive and connected when away from the cab.

The latest release now available on the app store and play store enables drivers to access features which allow them to interact with details of their electronic logs and personal fuel performance.

For those of you already using the application these features are designed to work in a consistent manner with the rest of the application, and they will be automatically added when you next update the app. For those of you not using the application here are a few screenshots to give you a taste of the look and feel of these items.
